The title says it all: Me? Really? Seriously?

Those are the questions I ask when the task(s) seem to be the most difficult, the most tedious, the least glamorous  and most definitely the task(s) that I was the most critical of, made fun of and meted out justice on.  NOW I find that those task(s) are now the ones that I have been assigned and commanded to do.

I hesitate because I remember my doubting others when they would come and share what mission, job, calling, or idea that they had and were called to do. I, forgive me LORD, threw salt on them. It was various reasons: why would GOD give them that idea, who do he/she think they are, ain’t nobody and yes I used ain’t nobody going to “let” them do that. In other words I was supportive in words and not in deeds. I KNEW that I COULD do what GOD had called them to do better.

So now  that I have been charged, commanded, beseeched, required, called, selected, chosen to share what I have been given, I ask the questions: ME? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? I am no longer that person who WOULD have done it better (someone else’s call). I am the person who has been humbled by the mission, job, calling, or idea and NOW can relate to those who were trying to play it safe. Mentioning the call, idea, mission, job not on a need to know basis, but WILL you really believe ME? basis.

So, as life happens and it does. There will be many times that we ask the questions: ME? REALLY? SERIOUSLY?

I am will answer them for all of us:  YES YOU, REALLY YOU, SERIOUSLY YOU.
